A redesign of an existing build, Farley is a Ram Promster 3500 ext. The idea behind Farley’s layout was to create a dynamic design, which allowed for multiple seating areas, giving this van an open and specious feel. Drawing from modern design, Farely combines all the amenities, appliances, and capabilities of a serious off-grid vehicle, within the refined finishes of home. Featuring a queen-sized, convertible dinette bed, hot water, shower, toilet, refrigerator, induction stove, cedar rooftop deck, Bluetooth speakers, and WIFI, Farley is the perfect home base, whether you're off-grid boondocking or plugged in at a campground. Utilizing a powerful 400-amp hour, LiFePo4 battery bank, 400 watts of solar, 3000-watt inverter charger, and powerful 60 amp DC-DC charging while you drive, Farley is designed to power the entire van, without plugging into shore power.
“Big Myke” Custom Build - Summer 2023
Designed to accommodate both work and play, this lifted, 2019 170” extended Sprinter 4x4 is packed with a ton of features and functionality. Our client was looking for a van he could use to transport work equipment but also have the space to travel with his family of 4. This van features a lofted/removable, full-size bed platform, a U-shaped dinette that converts to a large queen-sized bed, and fold-down rear seating (while driving). This powerful Victron electrical system features 618 amp hours of LiFePo4 batteries, 2 x 30 amp DC-DC chargers, 30 amp MPPT solar charge controller, and a 3000 inverter/charger, which powers all the conveniences of home, including a Dometic RTX 2000 air conditioner, an Espar diesel air heater a 32” wall-mounted TV, 4k projector, 4-way Bluetooth speakers, induction cooktop, combo toaster/air fryer, an 85L fridge and 4 gallon Bosch hot-water heater. “Birdie” Custom Build - Summer 2023
Built with comfort and function in mind, this custom van packs in the conveniences of home in an off-grid capable vehicle. This 2022 Ram Promaster 3500 Ext. includes a convertible dinette to queen bed setup, 12v rooftop AC, cedar lined shower, counter height fridge, and hidden induction stove and microwave. This layout allows for ample room to sit, lounge, and relax when in the dinette layout and converts to a spacious, length-wise oriented queen bed. The electrical system features 400ah of LiFePo4 batteries, a 60amp DC-DC charger, a 40amp MPPT solar charge controller, and a powerful 3000 inverter charger providing plenty of power for whatever adventures lay ahead. Custom cabinets, matching wood finishes, a pull-out dog gate, and accent lights finish off the interior of this capable and comfortable custom van, with a Unaka roof rack, 400 watts of solar, and Fiamma awning outside. “Tortuga Blanca” Custom Build - Spring 2023
This custom build packs a lot into a small package. This Ford Transit 148” wheelbase high roof was converted to meet the needs of our client who would be living and working full-time out of the van along with her two dogs. Ensuring the van provided both functional workspace and comfortably appointed living areas meant every inch of the van needed to be utilized. The build features a hidden computer monitor, and adjustable table/desk setup as well as a kitchen with an induction stove, toaster/air fryer, cast iron sink, and high-end hardware and finishes throughout. Not to be forgotten, the van also features several dog-friendly additions, including a hidden dog gate, a pull-out ramp for getting in and out of the van as well as a built-in water and food bowl. This is all in addition to a robust 400ah electrical system with three-way charging including 375 watts of solar, 30-gallon fresh water and 17-gallon grey water tanks, and many more features.
Lola
Cousin to one of our recent builds, Smokey, our newest build Lola has all the bells and whistles to make your next adventure more comfortable and cozy. This brand new 2022 Ram Promaster comes well-appointed from the factory, with the latest convenience and safety features. This van includes a powerful 400 amp-hour electrical system, ready to meet all your off-the-grid needs, a tiled shower, an induction stove tucked away in the custom-built cabinets, a pull-out toilet, and an efficient marine refrigerator, built-in Bluetooth sound system and a Webasto air heater to keep you toasty when nights turn cold. As in all Nothing Ventured builds, function, and form go hand-in-hand, with great attention paid to how the van performs and presents.

Our latest build, named Smokey for its blacked-out exterior, shows big things can come in small packages. This 2022 Ram Promaster comes with all the new bells and whistles from the dealership, so it only made sense to build a conversion to match. This van includes a powerful 412 amp-hour electrical system, ready to meet all your off-the-grid needs, a spacious shower, an induction stove cooktop, stainless steel refrigerator, and an efficient Webasto air heater to keep you warm on the coldest evenings. The interior design and layout are both sophisticated and functional - creating a space you’ll be excited to return to after your day’s adventure.
Goldy
The idea behind our newest van concept was to create a jack-of-all-trades van conversion - a Goldilocks if you will. This design strikes a purposeful balance to meet the needs of your next adventure. Featuring a robust electrical system, custom, locking cabinets, ample seating and storage, an outdoor shower, and a full kitchen set up with a fridge, sink, and stove, this van is designed to meet and exceed the needs of your next road trip. This design can also be upgraded to meet specific client requests or requirements, including scalable battery and solar power setups, a rooftop deck, awning, etc.

Nothing Ventured might be new to the van conversion scene, but we bring skillful woodworking, creative design practices, and real-world van life experiences to each van we build. Our first build was designed to balance comfort and adventure. The build features a robust 300Ah electrical system, a convertible dinette to bed, a galley style kitchen, a full shower, and many more practical features and creature comforts.
